Welcome Address at ATA: Prof. Robert Yennah (Chairman – AIDEC Group)
Since 1992, Prof. Yennah has been teaching French literature and aspects of language at the Department of French, University of Ghana, Legon. His research has mainly focused on Enlightenment literature and its relevance to the development of Africa. Aspects of his research have also focused on translation and interpretation studies. He has been instrumental, since 2012, in introducing the innovative programme of professional training in conference interpreting at the University of Ghana, the only such programme in West Africa.
Prof. Yennah a Senior Lecturer and was Head of the Department of French. He has published widely in many international Journals in Europe and Africa: 14 sole-authored journal articles, 2 refereed conference papers, 2 book chapters, 1 co-edited book and 6 book reviews.
